WHAT DOES DRY SKIN MEAN?
Dry skin is also called low-fat-dry condition or sebostasis. It is usually also known as problematic skin or sensitive skin. Sebum production is severely reduced, making your skin's protective hydrolipidic film unstable because the water-binding properties of sebum are missing. This is why your dry skin is often fine-pored, thin, flaky, and also rough. And because it is so thin, it is also very sensitive.

HOW DO YOU CARE FOR YOUR DRY SKIN?
Your skin is very demanding and needs to be sufficiently moisturised. Don't expose your skin to water for too long so as not to disturb the natural oiliness of your skin. Especially in winter, sebum becomes more viscous due to the cold and worsens the skin condition even more.
To bring your skin closer to a normal state again, it is important to replace the missing sebum. With rich, targeted care, you can increase the oil content of your skin and protect it from further dehydration. Four valuable tips will guide you through this.
Tip 1: Cleanse your skin only once a day.
Less is definitely more for your skin. Therefore, it is sufficient to wash your skin only in the evening before going to bed, for example with cleansing oil and lukewarm water. In the morning, a mild cleanser such as rose water is sufficient.
Tip 2: Only use lukewarm water.
Too hot water damages the natural protective barrier of your skin. Therefore, you should not wash your dry skin, which needs a lot of support anyway, too hot. The same goes for your entire body.
Tip 3: Mix oil with your cream.
Oils that you add to your skin care can take over the function of the missing sebum and additionally form a protective, supple film. Simply mix 2-3 drops of, for example, almond oil or argan oil with 1-2 pumps of hyaluronic day cream.
Tip 4: Use sufficient UV protection.
No matter how you react to the sun, UV protection is essential for your facial skin. Especially in summer, but also in winter, UV rays reach your skin. It is therefore best to always use an SPF of at least 30, like our sun cream.
